  1. This is such a great challenge. Social media causes more anxiety than you would think. I recently watched Social Dilemma and it was so eye-opening. I love how you have tips to detox and to ease back in!

    1. Thanks, Jill! Yes, that was a great movie and really got me thinking. It was part of the inspiration for me to do this detox.

  2. I LOVE this idea! I can feel how some weeks, social media consumes my day. When I see my weekly report, I sometimes get overwhelmed because it’s too much time on my phone. I will be taking some time away from social media at the end of this month!
    Thanks for this!

    1. I know seeing my time sometimes shocks me, so I’ve worked hard on reducing how much time I spend on apps. I’m looking forward to this detox, especially during the summer, and I hope you will join:)

    1. Thanks, Shianne! Being present is so important.

  3. What a fantastic challenge, friend! We can definitely get overly consumed with social media. I’ve been better about stopping myself from mindlessly scrolling and try to make things more intentional. Like, showing support to fellow bloggers or accounts that bring me joy and I really love. Also, with posting my own content. But I really love the idea of a detox and think it would certainly be a great mental health boost. I’m not sure that I’ll do 30 days, but I think I will do some variation of it! 🙂

    1. Thanks, Ashley! Glad to hear you are more intentional with your use. That also helps me. Even a shorter period is fine. Any period of time is always a good idea when it comes to staying off of social media.

  5. This is a great idea! I don’t think I would do a social media detox because I have established good boundaries and don’t find myself craving it unless its for work! This is a lovely idea for people who feel heavy because of it. Thanks for sharing x

    1. Thanks, Lynn! It’s great that you have established boundaries. I found doing a detox from Facebook helped me with placing better boundaries:)

  6. Wow, 30 days…that’s incredible! While I haven’t gone so far as to deleting my apps for a period of time, I did decide to only post 1-2 times a week on Insta. It used to be 4-5, and it was the most stressful thing. NOT worth it! 🙂

    1. I know it’s going to be a challenge, but I’m excited about it! I’d rather be more intentional over the summer doing things that are good for my soul. Too much scrolling is just a waste of time. That’s great that you decided to post less. Social media is definitely not worth getting stressed over!

    1. Thanks, Lovely! If you can do it, why not try a longer period and see how it goes.

  7. These are good tips! I did a social media detox with my church a while back and I feel it really helped reduce the amount of time I spend on social media! I’d noticed it was creeping back in a bit lately so I’ve stepped back again and I’m finding I’m not really missing it as much as I thought I would!

Hope you are having a lovely weekend 🙂

    1. Thanks, Mica! It’s so easy to get caught up scrolling and going down a rabbit hole. It’s great that you are aware of that and pull back when you need to. I hope you had a great weekend too:)

    1. That’s great, Allie! Sunday is a good day to be off social media and focus on self-care and enjoying the day. I rarely check social media on Sundays.
