  1. It’s so easy to get sucked into gossip and you’re right, the same people are probably gossiping about me when I’m not around. I struggle with worrying about others’ opinions of me and these are great tips to help overcome that!

  2. Another great post – so much good information! It is so true – if someone loves to gossip and talk about others – they are probably talking about you, too. I learned that through experience -and it really made me think. Also, being thankful – and moving forward without fear and not being afraid to face our those uncomfortable situations – all good things to remember and work on.

    1. Thanks so much, Lisa! Yes, with gossip, I learned through experience too, and I’m thankful as I needed to open my eyes to what was going on around me. Facing challenges is never easy, but I’ve found that it’s those experiences where we grow most.

  3. This two-part series is gold, my friend! I love that you mentioned that there is no such thing as harmless gossip. I think so often people think it’s not a big deal and no one really gets hurt – but they truly do! I can relate to your experience of caring about someone who enjoys gossip and all the while they were gossiping about me as well. It’s such a hurtful thing, and so unnecessary. I also really loved your side note on gratitude. I can’t imagine why anyone would consider it ‘settling’ because it’s everything but that.

Wishing you a wonderful day, Martha!

  5. Complaining is so easy to do these days, but you’re right – gratitude is the answer! I always try to make a list of 5 things I’m grateful for each day. Even if it’s something small, like smelling a yummy pot of coffee 🙂
