  1. I feel like you wrote this for me. Everything you listed in things to let go are 1000% the things I NEED to let go of… and all the things you mentioned to keep are things I need to learn to do.
Thank you for such an uplifting way to start my week! 🙂

    1. Aww, I’m so glad to hear this was helpful Yadi! These are all reminders for myself as well. You’re very welcome and I appreciate your kind words; they made my day:)

    1. So glad this was helpful Allie. Yes, I hope that it will be a better year too!

  2. A huge YES to letting go of the toxic people in life. After what happened at the Capitol last week, I had to delete a lot of people on social media because of what they were posting regarding the event. It was such a horrific day, and to see people justifying why it happened was really affecting my mental state. It felt good to keep hitting that delete button for sure! 🙂

    1. Yes, that was so devastating and just unbelievable. Good for you Shauna, I’m glad you took action and deleted people who were justifying it. Letting go of toxic people is one of the best things you can do for your emotional and physical well-being.

  3. I struggle to say no without feeling the guilt that comes along with it. I know that I do better saying yes to only select things that really serve me, but it’s hard to not feel like I’m letting people down, or making excuses for why I can’t do certain things. This post is a great inspiration for how to feel more settled in my decisions.

  5. I am in love with this post, Martha! I really cannot adequately reply because I feel like I agreed with so many things you wrote. 🙂 I would say letting go of fear is a huge one for me this year, and I am actively working daily to put that in the past and keep it there.

I enjoyed your bonus section! I think creating a life you love is all about doing what makes your heart happy. While it’s true that there are things we have to do that maybe aren’t our favorites, we can still plug in lots of fun things. I too enjoy visiting new restaurants and especially coffee shops, watching movies, and I love planning, reading books, and writing too.

Wishing you the most amazing remainder of your week, my friend!

    1. Aww, thanks so much, Ashley! I’m glad this post was helpful and I think so many of us are working on letting go of fear with the last year we had. Thanks for sharing the fun things you enjoy. It’s important to do the things that make us happy.

  6. These are wonderful tips and ideas! I know I need to be so much better about being hard on myself! It’s always a work in progress isn’t it? We are our own worst critic!

    1. I agree, Laura, that one is always a work in progress!

  7. Yes to each and every one of these! I was nodding my head as I read through. All of these are so important, especially after the rough year we just had! Thank you for sharing your printables!

    1. Thanks, Jill! You’re welcome. I hope the printables are helpful:)

  8. These are all great tips and some I have mastered. Others not so much! For me, I struggle with social media and comparing myself to others. When I started my blog, I just wanted to share. To this day, that’s all I ever want to do but it seems like if I am not doing more or making money off of it then I feel pressured to do more. So I am definitely keeping my blinders on and doing what’s best for me and my blog.

    1. I hear you Maureen, comparing yourself to others is a challenge for most of us, especially in the blogging world. I’m glad to hear you are going to focus on doing what’s best for you:)

  9. Love this post. I am also working on a similar post about things to let go to live a more fulfilled life. I love how much in common we have and it is great connecting with you, Martha. I agree that focusing on people who bring the best of us while letting go of toxic people is a major step into more wellness. I really enjoy your post content, it’s truly motivating. I am finding myself in a constant burnout so this was what i needed to read. Sending you love! x Ana
